Maybe your husband ran his hand through your hair or someone made a joke knowing you've been there because you left your hair on your seat... it can be rough when your wig or hair extension keeps shedding!
Fortunately, there are ways to prevent shedding and even minimize it once it starts. And we're here to let you know everything you need to know.

How can I keep the wig from coming off?
Take care of your lace, Wefts and wig
1.Do not scratch the scalp through the unit
It's tempting, but don't do it, sis. When you try to reach your scalp without removing the unit, you put a lot of stress on the lace or fabric in your wig. It will tear the lace and the cap, managing to throw off the strands around that part of the hair.
2.Be gentle with your lace
Lace is quite fragile, so if you're rough with it, e.g., yanking your wig off your head might cause a tear in your wig. Which leads to lace tearing and hair shedding.
Tip: If you decide to sleep with your wig on, secure the lace portion down and sleep with a satin bonnet. In our sleep, we toss and turn, so we can loosen the glue or even damage the lace if we don't protect it adequately.
3.Use knot sealant on your unit
Knot sealers work by forming a layer on the knots at the base of your unit, which prevents them from unraveling. Use a knot sealer to prevent or reduce shedding if you're already struggling with it.
Take care of your hair
1.Don't brush your hair excessively or roughly
When your wig is tangled, it's easy to try to pull it out, but try to avoid it. Remember to comb the hair from the roots to the ends gradually. If your hair is quite tangled, start by finger, move to a wide-tooth comb, and then use a brush or curling iron to help gradually take care of those tangles.
2.Beware of heat sources
Just like the hair on your scalp, the hair on your wig is sensitive to heat and the chemicals in relaxers. So avoid using a lot of heat on your hair and when you do use heat, use a heat protect-ant and keep it as low as possible.
Some other things worth noting
In general, the smaller the texture of the wig, the easier it is to fall out, which is a process that cannot be avoided. For example, straight hair in many processes before the production of 4C wigs, these processes will destroy the strength of the original hair. So you should take care of the small texture of the wig.
