How to use ponytail extensions
What are Ponytail Extensions?
Luxy Hair Clip-In Ponytail Extensions are specially designed to instantly add thickness to the length of a regular ponytail. Say goodbye to dull, limp ponytails and hello to bouncy, voluminous ponytails that can be styled into a high ponytail, low ponytail, braided ponytail, or even a bun. More simply to hide unwashed or unstyled hair, we give ponytails a shine. We also offer curly ponytail extensions if you’re going for a textured look.
Each Luxy Hair ponytail extension comes with the following:
One 120g 20inch ponytail extension
2 bobby pins pre-matched to the fabric of the extension
1 frame tester
How to do a ponytail with extensions
TIP: If you plan to heat up your ponytail extension, we recommend doing so before attaching it to your hair.
STEP 1: PULL YOUR HAIR INTO A PONYTAIL
Brush your own hair into a high ponytail at the top of your head. Position your ponytail slightly higher than you intend to wear it and secure it with a hair tie.
STEP 2: BRUSH YOUR PONYTAIL EXTENSION
Gently brush your ponytail extension using our loop hair extension brush, or a wide tooth comb or paddle brush to remove tangles.
STEP 3: SECURE YOUR PONYTAIL EXTENSION
Slide the comb under your hair tie at the top of your ponytail. Wrap the velcro base around your own ponytail until tightly layered and secure.
STEP 4: COVER THE BASE OF YOUR PONYTAIL
Wrap the section of hair around the base of the ponytail to conceal the band. Use Luxy bobby pins to secure in place.
STEP 5: SHAKE, STYLE, GO!
Move your head to make sure your ponytail feels secure. Sleek and straight or teased and tousled, rock your Luxy Ponytail any way you see fit.
