1.Brush or comb the wig starting from the ends.
Gently comb the ends of the wig first. Once they're free of knots, work your way back up to the roots until you can run your brush or comb through them without getting snagged. Use a wire wig brush for straight or wavy wigs, and a wide-tooth comb or your fingers for curly wigs
2.Fill your sink with cold water, then stir in 1-2 squeezes of shampoo.
Use a high-quality shampoo suitable for the type of hair you're washing.
You will not apply the shampoo directly to the fibers of the wig. Instead, you will use soapy water to wash the wig.
3.Flip the wig over and place it in the water.
Use your fingers to flip the wig cap over and let the wig fibers hang loose. Place the wig in the water and press down on the fibers to submerge them. Give the wig a light swirl to help distribute the shampoo to the strands.
Flipping the wig inside out will make it easier for shampoo to reach the wig cap, where most dirt, sweat, and oils collect.
4.Soak the wig for 5 minutes.
Make sure the wig is completely submerged in water. Do not move the wig during this time. Excessive shaking, squeezing, or spinning can tangle the fibers.
5.Rinse the wig with cold water until all shampoo is gone.
You can rinse the wig in a bucket filled with fresh cool water, or in a sink or shower.
6.Apply conditioner to the wig.
Squeeze some conditioner into your hair and run your fingers through it. If the wig is a lace front wig or a breathable wig, please be careful not to wear a wig cap. Strands are tied with lace. Applying conditioner to them loosens the knots and pulls out the strands. The fibers are sewn on, so regular weft wigs are fine.
Use a good quality conditioner.
You can also use a leave-in his conditioner if you prefer.
7.Wait 2 minutes
Then rinse the conditioner with cold water. Leave the conditioner on your wig for a few minutes, and the nourishing oils will penetrate and moisturize your hair, just like your hair grows from your head. After 2 minutes, rinse the wig with cold water until the water runs clear.
Skip this step if you are using a leave-in conditioner.
